Mission Critical Display Solutions

Mission Critical

When Failure is Not an Option

Critical decisions depend on uninterrupted visual information

Control room operators rely on displays to understand conditions and respond in real time. Signal loss means lost visibility when every second matters.

Whether monitoring a telecommunications network, managing pipeline infrastructure, or supporting a launch, HyperLight fiber optic cables provide the reliable display connectivity critical operations demand.

Product Overview

Plug & Play Active Optical Cables that Work Every Time

Modern displays offer very high resolution and refresh rates that require significantly more bandwidth. This fact make copper cables impractical for all but the shortest distances. HyperLight fiber optic cables use advanced high-speed optics to send high-resolution video up to 100 meters (328 ft) in one continuous cable. All HyperLight cables draw power from the source without the need for external power sources.

Construction and Standard Lengths

HyperLight cables use either plastic or glass optical fiber with a very high flexibility. All of the cables are UL CMP-OF plenum-rated. Since the video signal travels over non-conductive optical fiber, the video path does not pick up electrical noise from its surroundings. Further, these cables have a very low RFI / EMI transmission profile making them ideal for sensitive applications.

Compliance and Reliability

Strong Where Others are Not

MTBF > 150,000 Hours

More than 17 years of continuous operation. That is the reliability required in rooms that never power down.

Plenum-rated Fiber

UL CMP-OF listed for installation in the air-handling space above the ceiling.

TAA Compliant

Qualified for US government procurement. Also includes FCC, UL, CE, and RoHS compliance.

Capabilities

Unmatched Versatility

HyperLight fiber optic cables support extension of high resolution video signals over great distances, while providing unmatched resilience to environmental interference and outstanding installation flexibility.

Resolution and Distance

Up to 8K Resolution - Up to 100 meters (328 ft)

HyperLight fiber optic cables support up to 8K resolution. Cable lengths range from 3-100 meters (9.8 - 328 ft). One continuous plug & play cable connects the source to the display, with no external power or repeaters required.

Interference

Impervious to Electrical Interference

HyperLight fiber optic cables use optical fibers that are immune to interference from environmental noise. Routing the cable past a motor room, lighting ballast or dimmer rack does not affect the picture. Further, the cable itself has a very low RFI / EMI transmission footprint, which makes it ideal for sensitive applications.

Installation

Ultra-flexible, Plenum-rated, Ideal for Conduits

All HyperLight fiber optic cables are UL CMP-OF plenum rated and offer a very high degree of flexibility with minimum bend radius.HDMI and DisplayPort cables include detachable docking connectors that allow the cables to easily be pulled through narrow conduit.

Optical Extenders

Need to Go Further ?

For applications that require extension greater than 100 meters (328 ft) or if additional signals must be included, DVIGear optical extenders together with our custom-made optical cables are an excellent solution. These products also enable field maintenance, as the discrete transmitter and receiver units can easily be replaced while leaving the (passive) optical cable installed.
