DVIGear copper extenders are designed for professional AV installations where conventional video cables cannot meet the distance requirements. For these applications, Transmitter and Receiver pairs use readily available twisted-pair (CAT-X) cabling to provide a dependable AV connection between the source and display for distances up to 70 meters (230 ft).
When twisted-pair network cable is not an option, Active Cable Extenders™ provide the necessary cable equalization for DVIGear’s range of SHR™ DVI and HDMI cables, which support cable runs up to 60 meters (~ 200 ft).

Wildcat® CAT6 Extender
The DVI-7570 Wildcat® extends 4K HDMI and IR signals over a single CAT6A cable up to 70 meters (230 ft) using visually lossless compression. The transmitter unit provides a buffered HDMI loop output for a local display. The receiver unit provides break-out analog and TOSLINK digital audio for an audio system on the display side.
HDMI HDBaseT Extender
The DVI-7520 extender carries uncompressed HDMI or DVI with external audio, RS-232 and bidirectional IR over a single CAT-X twisted-pair cable. The maximum range is 70 meters (230 ft). Using the HDBaseT POH standard, the receiver unit is powered from the transmitter and needs no external power source.
Active Cable Extenders (ACE™)
Optimized for DVIGear SHR™ Series copper cables, ACE™ units mitigate insertion losses of long copper cables using adaptive cable equalization. This technology allows DVI or HDMI copper cables to be used up to 60 meters (~ 200 ft).

For applications that require extension greater than 60 meters (~200 ft) or if additional signals must be included, DVIGear Fiber Optic Cable Extenders together with our custom-made optical cables are an excellent solution. These products also enable field maintenance, as the discrete transmitter and receiver units can easily be replaced while leaving the (passive) optical cable installed.
